Farm Safety Events ready to go!

Next week is Canadian Agricultural Safety Week

St John Ambulance, Farm Safe Manitoba, and Manitoba Canola Growers are holding two farmer first aid events next week 

The March 12 event in Steinbach is sold out,  while a few spots are still available for the March 14th event in Virden. 

Participants will learn First Aid principles and the skills needed in life-threatening emergencies and/or common non-emergency farm-related injuries or illnesses. 

Topics to be covered:

  • Recognize when first aid is required and when medical help is needed.
  • Recognize the dangers and hazards at emergency scenes.
  • Prevent injuries through proactive investigation and safety programs.
  • Better understand the unique issues related to farm emergencies.
  • CPR/AED
  • Choking
  • Wounds
  • Burns
  • Medical Conditions
  • Mental Health Awareness

Registration is required as spots are limited!

Farmers who are members of MCGA or KAP will receive a rebate. If you are a member of KAP or MCGA, this event is FREE.
